What students think about the impact of Oscar De La Renta

One of the most known names on any red carpet was fashion designer Oscar De La Renta, who died Oct. 20 at age 82, yet still surprises fashion junkies every time they see one of his pieces.
I wanted to see how many Florida Gulf Coast University students actually know about him and his work. All interviewees were shown three photos of his work and asked whether or not they know who he was.

– “[It’s] devastating seeing that that’s what his whole life was dedicated to. But as far as the fashion world, it will [affect it] because those were some pretty big celebrities you showed me [wearing his designs].”
