FGCU women’s soccer team earns first conference win over Kennesaw State

The FGCU swim team hosted its annual Blue and Green Scrimmage on Saturday as the Eagles prepare for the start of the 2017-2018 season. Eagles move to 2-0 in conference play with win over UNF

Playing on the road for the first time in conference play, the FGCU men’s soccer team defeated UNF 2-0 behind goals from Robert Ferrer and Shak Adams. Perez leads way for FGCU women’s tennis

The FGCU women’s tennis team competed in the Miami Fall Weekend Invite and fared well versus Pittsburgh, Miami and Auburn. Leading the way for FGCU was Sofia Perez, who combined to win four matches, including two matches in singles and two matches in doubles. Also for the Eagles, Maja Ornberg had the biggest upset of the weekend, as the sophomore defeated No. 9 Alizee Michaud of Auburn 7-6, 4-6 and 10-6. FGCU softball announces final decision to coaching staff

FGCU softball head coach Dave Deiros announced the second newest assistant coach to the FGCU softball team, Jaime Edwards. She joins Lindsey Urban as well as Jamie Kertes, who was hired back in August, to the coaching staff to work alongside Deiros. “We are fortunate that we were able to find a coach of Jaime’s caliber so quickly,” Deiros said in a recent press release. “She is extremely bright, diligent, and adaptable—a consummate student of the game. The FGCU women’s soccer team opened up ASUN play in Deland, Florida with a 0-0 draw versus the Hatters. Carin Berryhill and Carley Lutzow have strong performances in the UF Invitational

Running in just their second race of the season after Hurricane Irma hit Florida, the men’s and women’s cross-country team placed seventh and 14th (respectively) in the UF Mountain Dew Invitational. In a rematch of the ASUN semifinals from a year ago, the FGCU men’s soccer team once again defeated Jacksonville, this time by a score of 1-0 on a goal from Shak Adams.
