The FGCU men’s basketball team will play their final game before the ASUN tournament, facing Stetson on Thursday, Feb. 23, at 7:00 p.m. at Alico Arena. Playing in its final game of a four-game series against Sacred Heart, the FGCU baseball team defeated the Pioneers 5-1 on Sunday, claiming its first series win of the season. Playing in a doubleheader against Sacred Heart, the FGCU baseball team rebounded from its opening-day loss with a 13-8 victory in game one, and a 9-3 victory in game two. Now ahead 2-1 in their four-game series against the Pioneers, the Eagles scored a combined 22 runs to earn their first and second victories of the season. The FGCU Baseball Team kicked off the 2017 season at Swanson Stadium with a loss to Sacred Heart 10-5. After going 27-32 a season ago, the Eagles welcomed three freshmen into their lineup as well as the return of senior Nick Rivera, who missed most of last year with an injury. The FGCU men’s basketball team returns to Alico Arena where it will take on the Lipscomb Bisons on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. The Bisons come into this game right behind the Eagles, with a second-place standing, in the ASUN conference.
