Following a 2-1 series win over Jacksonville, the FGCU Softball team dropped it first three-game series in ASUN play with two losses and a win against UNF. Courtney ‘C.J.’ Williamsonbey released from men’s basketball team

After being suspended by the FGCU men’s basketball team following his arrest and charges of burglary of conveyance and grand theft, Courtney “C.J.” Williamsonbey has been dismissed from the men’s basketball team and is no longer enrolled at FGCU. FGCU spokesperson, Susan Evans, quoted Federal law in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act in an email regarding Williamsonbey before explaining his status. “Mr. Williamsonbey is no longer enrolled at FGCU and thus is no longer a member of the men’s basketball team,” Evans said. Taking on five different teams in six games, the FGCU softball team went 4-2 at the Battle at the Beach at the FGCU Softball Complex.
