During the Billboard Music Awards on May 22, Adele released her brand new music video for her new single “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” after receiving the award for Billboard Top 200 Album for “25.”
What is so different about this music video is Adele is dancing. I know. It’s a rare sight, but it really brought the essence of this song to life. Usually, she is walking around belting out the lyrics, but this video was a little more laidback and fun. Wearing a Dolce & Gabbana dress, Adele looked gorgeous in a floral, full-length gown while standing in front of a solid black background. It was the perfect outfit to wear for this video because of her twirling and dancing. It flowed naturally with her movements.
Another interesting element of the video was the trippy visual effects. Images of Adele dancing were layered on top of each other. Shot from all different angles, it gave the music video a psychedelic feel.
There isn’t much to the music video, but that’s what makes it refreshing. The maturity and minimalism keeps the viewer interested.
