Set life aside and embrace your risky side

Take adventures. Abandon your comfort zone. Make lasting memories. College is the prime sector of your live to do all the above.
Granted, studying and earning good grades is key while in college, but embracing the unknown is as well.
The time between 18 and 25 is commonly known as a transition phase. Students leave their parents’ nest and find their identity. College students are trying to find their place in society by choosing the “right” major and finding that “perfect” career.
Getting caught up in your future may stir up unsettling emotions about the unknown, so it’s important to take time away from trying to plan your life and take adventures.
Outdoor Pursuits is a part of Florida Gulf Coast University’s Recreation Center and allows students to do just that. Each semester, Outdoor Pursuits organizes radical trips for FGCU students. The trips are reasonably priced with students’ budgets in mind. The trips’ intensities range from moderate to extreme.
Here is the list of Outdoor Pursuits trips offered during spring and summer semesters. Remember, students must reserve their spots during the time permitted for each trip.
Note: All trips are open to FGCU students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests of students, but only FGCU students receive the discounted price.
