Dec. 18, 2013 12:44 p.m. A father contacted UPD concerned that he hadn’t heard from his daughter after a 10 a.m. meeting with financial aid. The student was located and advised to call her father.
Dec. 18, 2013 14:35 p.m. A student reported anonymous threats left on her blog to UPD.
Dec. 19, 2013 4:26 a.m. A complainant requested an officer to drive around WLV while she was leaving for work because she felt as though someone had been watching her for a few days. An officer conducted a patrol of the area without incident.
Dec. 21, 2013 11:28 a.m. A panic alarm malfunctioned in Building R in NLV. Housing contacted Simplex, the alarm provider, who arrived on campus to fix the problem. UPD officers were informed the problem was the result of a water leakage from a hot water heater on the third floor into the mechanical room. Valves were closed in the problem area, the water was removed from the system and the wiring was given a chance to dry out.
Dec. 23, 2013 3:05 p.m. A complainant advised UPD that there was graffiti on a “no skateboarding” sign between the music building and the Arts Complex.
Jan. 2, 2014 9:55 p.m. Complainant called UPD stating that she was the aunt of a student and was worried about the student, who had flown from Jamaica to FGCU that day. The complainant had not heard from the student since she left home. Dispatch could not find the student on the housing roster but an RA informed UPD he student was in the Commons. The student contacted her aunt.
