Police Beat: Students stuck in elevator, traffic violations

Aug 21 3:33 am – A traffic stop on FGCU Lake Pkw E. Driver issued a warning for running a stop sign.
Aug 21 10:50 am – UPD and Housing responded to a noise complaint in NLV. Officers allowed housing officials to handle the situation.
Aug 21 3:21 pm – UPD officers came upon some people at the FGCU waterfront that appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. There multiple open and half empty containers. Officers also found a cigarette box that contained a green leafy substance that tested positive for THC.
Aug 21 7 am – A complaint was called in from the library for a car being parked by a dumpster. The complainant called back to cancel their complaint due to the vehicle belonging to a staff member.
Aug 21 12:34 pm – Officers responded to a call of subjects being stuck in the elevator in parking garage 1. Work management was notified and upon the officers arrival the elevator was found clear.
Aug 21 12:36 pm – A person passed out in the student services plaza in front of the Wellness Center. The patient had given blood early that day and had become dizzy. SCFD responded and the patient refused transport.
Aug 21 2:01 pm – A female was transported from NLV commons to Gulfcoast hospital for chest pains.
Aug 21 2:08 pm – Construction crew in South Village requested an officer to access traffic since drivers are ignoring posted signs and creating dangerous situations.
