Alyssa Boloy, a sophomore, pies a Pi Kappa Phi brother in support of The Ability Experience.
Last Thursday, Nov. 12, members of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity spent all day on the library lawn, having students pie them in order to raise funds and awareness for the organization’s national philanthropy, the Ability Experience. The event was a huge success and raised $265 within a few hours.
“Pie-A-Phi was a really fun event and it was great to see how passionate the brothers were about raising money for their
philanthropy,” said Jennifer Fonseca, sophomore.
The Ability Experience is a nonprofit organization that strives to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities; Pi Kappa Phi founded the organization in 1977.
“Seeing such success in a smaller event like this gives us hope for even more successful philanthropy events in the future,” said Connor Cerrito, an active member and Sorority Relations Chairman.
Pie-A-Phi was hosted by the newly initiated Beta class of Pi Kappa Phi.
