10/21/2014 10:46 a.m.
An individual was caught by UPD for doing donuts with their vehicle in the south in South Village. The subject agreed to help groundskeepers repair the damaged area.
10/21/2014 7:54 p.m.
A father contacted UPD because his son hasn’t answered the phone when he usually does. UPD attempted to contact the student and there was no answer. The roommate was contacted via phone by the RA and stated he has not seen the student all day. After checking his room, the second roommate stated he saw the resident at 4:30 p.m. walking toward his vehicle. UPD left a note for him to contact his father. Resident called and stated he made contact with his father and all was well.
10/22/2014 12:18 a.m.
In South Village, a complainant stated that there are individuals setting stuff on fire. He believed they were all males. UPD advised that they were using some sort of accelerant, such as lighter fluid on the concrete and setting it on fire. UPD states there was no damage.
10/22/2014 12:25 a.m.
UPD reports that there are five individuals behind the construction site in South Village.
10/22/2014 1:02 a.m.
In North Lake, a suspicious person was reported wearing black pants, shirt and helmet. The subject parked his bike and ran westbound through the buildings until UPD lost him when the officer got out of the car. UPD reported it looked like a tall male. UPD canvased the area but no one was found.
10/22/2014 2:06 a.m.
UPD caught individuals with an open container and smoking marijuana in the North Lake Tiki Hut. There was one marijuana joint and several Coronas that were confiscated.
10/23/2014 1:10 a.m.
An RA stated that there was an individual sitting on the waterfront screaming and yelling into his phone. The area was canvassed and the person was not found.
10/23/2014 2:06 p.m.
A campus preacher was using a megaphone and disturbing the area by the library. An employee from Campus Reservations spoke with the subject and requested he move back into the green area.
10/23/2014 5:06 p.m.
A mother was concerned for her son, as he has been complaining of back pain. She requested the front desk of Biscayne Hall to check on her son. The student’s parents were on their way to FGCU.
10/23/2014 5:34 p.m.
An 18-year-old male student in Biscayne Hall reported difficulty moving in the lobby of Biscayne. He was transported to Gulf Coast Hospital.
10/25/2014 5:20 a.m.
On Ben Hill Griffin Parkway, EMS was summoned after a driver struck her head on the steering wheel. She was tested for a DUI and was transported to the Lee County Jail. The jail was contacted and notified of need for a wheelchair.
10/25/2014 11:51 p.m.
A father requested a welfare check on his daughter, a resident of Osprey Hall, who had not spoken with him since the night prior, when he informed her that her grandfather passed away. The father later called to cancel the welfare check after his daughter returned his call.
