College of Education successes are great news

By Sh’lisa Hood Senior, communication
I am writing to acknowledge the great accomplishments achieved by the College of Education as illustrated in the article “Acing their Careers” written on Oct. 2. I am very pleased to read that the vast majority of students graduating from the College of Education are successful in their post-graduation endeavors. I am proud to know that my fellow Eagles are landing great jobs in a field that is so significant to everyone. I feel comforted in knowing that my peers will be educating the future minds of our community.
Though I am not an education major, I am a currently a student. Being a senior expecting to graduate in spring 2014, it is always refreshing to hear of great news that is related to alumni employment success from any college on campus.
Having read that the education program offers such a tailored curriculum for students reinforces the idea that “real-world” success after college is held at a high esteem. Considering this curriculum structure is attributed to the successful employment rate of graduates, I hope all programs on campus will adopt this unique method of student class scheduling if not already doing so.
With so many peers graduating from the College of Education and successfully finding employment within their field, it shows that even in such a bleak state of the economy Eagles will soar. I am very happy to hear of so many great successes.
