As the men’s tennis teams moves through their season they continue to be victorious. In their most recent match against St. John’s University on Jan. 14 the Eagles won 4-0.
Even with the three separate rain delays, the beginning of the 2016 dual season for the FGCU men was a successful one. This left the Eagles with a 1-0 record resulting in St. John’s record as 1-1 to start off 2016. The coach and many of the players were satisfied with the outcome of this match.
“Today was a great opener for us,” Weber said. “We experienced a lot in this match that will help us this season. We look forward to this next weekend.”
The Eagles will go up against South Alabama Sunday Jan. 17 at 10 a.m. The match will be held in Tallahassee, Fl. FGCU will be spending the weekend in Tallahassee as they play Florida State on Monday Jan. 18 also at 10 a.m.
They hope to continue their success for this year by coming home with two victories after this weekend.
