The NCAA Division I council announced today that the start of men’s and women’s basketball will be set for Nov. 25, with practices scheduled to start on Oct.14.
No scrimmages or exhibitions are allowed to be held before the season is started. All teams must play thirteen games to be eligible for the NCAA tournament – all of which must come against a Division I opponent.
The Eagles were set to host USC at Alico Arena on Nov.10, but after the PAC-12’s decision to suspend play, FGCU won’t see action until their start date on Nov. 25.
