President Martin announced today that Florida Gulf Coast University will not have a spring break next semester.
“In keeping with our commitment to protecting the health and well-being of our campus, we will end the spring semester a week early,” Martin said in an email to students.
According to Martin, this change is consistent with FGCU’s sister institutions in the State University System of Florida.
Here is the revised academic calendar for the spring 2021 term:
First day of classes: January 11, 2021
Last day of classes: April 26, 2021
Finals Week: April 27 to May 1, 2021
Commencement: May 2, 2021
Final grades due: May 4, 2021, by 4:30 p.m.
