As always, spring break has come and gone. Though most of us have spent the week partying, relaxing and generally having fun – an unlucky few had to work over spring break. Personally, I went to the 2025 Flower and Garden Festival in EPCOT and absolutely loved it.
EPCOT hosts festivals year-round celebrating art, food and, in this case, nature. The Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT features exclusive food, drinks, merchandise and entertainment. For instance, the park showcases a variety of character-themed topiaries, bird sanctuaries, tea plants and informational boards about the local wildlife.
One of my favorite things about this event was the atmosphere. Not only did the Florida weather perfectly match the festival’s vibes, but the décor was breathtaking.
There were vibrant floral displays and masterfully crafted topiaries around every corner. The flowers and plants also attracted different species of butterflies, some birds and of course bees.
My favorite displays were the birdhouses. They were located in multiple areas of the park and housed a number of birds native to the Walt Disney World area. The sight of birds soaring over guests alongside the many gorgeous beds of flowers is what tied the atmosphere together for me. The morning’s rising sun and cool-ish weather added to the festival’s intended vibe.
Likewise, I greatly enjoyed the food! At EPCOT, I went to the Florida Fresh stand near Communicore Hall. As the name suggests, the booth serves different beloved Floridian classics.
I ordered the Florida strawberry shortcake, which consisted of a vanilla pound cake with macerated strawberries, strawberry sauce and whipped cream. Though simple and sweet, the treat was very well-made. Nothing tasted frozen, and for the price, it was an excellent snack – especially as it’s cheaper than similar desserts in the area.
The festival’s merchandise was also lovely. Normally it is represented by none other than Orange Bird. However, this year, the festival’s theme included “Alice in Wonderland” too. So, for once, there was new official “Alice in Wonderland” merchandise, including a wonderful bread-and-butterfly Loungefly bag which I am planning on buying online.
This year’s Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot was very successful – there was amazing food, great merchandise and incredible vibes all around. I had an amazing time at the festival. It ends in July, so if you too want to experience the festival, I recommend planning your trip ASAP!
