Destiny Diaper Bank seeks volunteers

Destiny Diaper Bank Rewards Center of Fort Myers is looking for volunteers to assist with sorting and organizing baby clothes and other items for the Southwest Florida area.

As a 501 (c3) nonprofit charity, Destiny Diaper Bank distributes infant diapers and other necessities for babies to local mothers. Adult diapers are also distributed to those with certain challenges. The charity also assists special-needs children between the ages of 4 and 20 who are transitioning with Medicaid.

Destiny Ministries of Southwest Florida also serves those active in the military, as well as veterans and first response officers, providing infant merchandise for them along with single and working mothers.

The bank holds a monthly “Mom’s Night Out,” which consists of a dinner in which those invited are given items for infants, as well as opportunities to earn “baby bucks,” which can be used at the rewards center in exchange for larger items for babies such as strollers, beds and highchairs.
