Spending four days on campus means plenty of time to have fun on campus. I’ve been making use of that time by setting my cameras up and letting them run two second interval exposures making for smooth time-lapse shots of our school’s architecture and cloud activity. The months leading into fall and winter produce beautiful white puffy clouds nearly everyday around noon.
These time-lapse videos take about 15-20 minutes at a time. But the longer a camera is set up the longer time-lapse you can produce. Clouds can be tricky at times, due to the shadowing and light changes. With some practice, anyone can do it.
This time-lapse was shot on a Canon 5Dmkii running Magic Lantern firmware utilizing the internal intervalometer. Own a 5DMkii? Definitely try it out (at your own risk). I’m waiting for a stable release to run on the Mkiii.
