Buzzfeed launches its online shop to the public

Buzzfeed just launched its new online shop, and it’s exactly what you might expect from the internet-born conglomerate.
The news and entertainment giant opened its previously employee-only swag shop to the public.
“Shop BuzzFeed is just one part of a much broader e-commerce strategy,” Buzzfeed’s head of commerce, Tessa Gould told Poynter in a Q & A. “It’s still early days, but we have already built out a dedicated market team under that is focused exclusively on creating shoppable content for our readers.”
You can now shop for “adult accomplishment” pins that congratulate achievements like getting out of bed or working out once, shirts for the family with phrases like “mom af” and “baby af,” socks with cheeseburgers on them and so much more merchandise that brings the world of Buzzfeed to your daily wardrobe.
What you won’t find in Buzzfeed’s fall collection are elaborate designs; all items boast minimal concetps that appeal to all of us who are regrettably basic. Buzzfeed’s iconic sections of “wtf,” “cute,” “lol” and others can now be worn as a lapel to piece together your complete ironic autumnal outfit.
Want to show your love for pizza? You can sport a casual tee that says “Pizza Party” with a minimal pizza design.
Matching “best witches” pins and jewelry will let everyone know who you squad with.
Buzzfeed’s fall collection of brand new merchandise can be bought now, but things are selling out fast.
