Fort Myers Dance Event brings fresh artists and favorite mixes

The weekend was filled with fresh remixes and throwbacks at Fort Myers Dance Event.
FMDE is an independent, two-day celebration of the creation and performance of electronic dance music. It seeks to become the leading music platform and the largest indoor club festival in Southwest Florida. Covering the entire scope of EDM, multiple disc jockeys from across the country will come together for two nights of endless dance music and endless fun.
The first night filled downtown Fort Myers with EDM music. In Bootlegger’s Alley, there was a full set, starting at 8:00 p.m. and raging through the night until 1:45 a.m. Artists, including Chris Newtron, DJ Shizz & Los, Impound and others, played their favorite songs and showed their skills on the turntables and mixers at the EDM Stage by Electronic Music Factory. At the Top 40 Arena in the Indigo Room, DJ Maestro played hit tunes from 8:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. Funky Fridays @ FMDE at Prime de Leon featured a night of entertainment from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. by DJ Shizz & Los. From 12:00 to 1:45 a.m., DJ Miss Chevious, Odi Diaz and DJ Knucklehead & Jett performed at Dash Night Club, finishing off the first night of FMDE.
“Some of my good friends are performing with me tonight,” said DJ Juice at the Indigo Room Saturday night. “It’s only 8:30, so it’s still early. But, it’s going to be a good time. I was in Miami for yesterday’s set, but I heard it was crazy.”
Underground Saturday started off with the Progressive House Stage by Dan Sinclair, as Dan Manik performed from 8:30 to 10:00 p.m., followed by IL4K, Dr. Nikolas Quartez (The Netherlands) and Victor Simonelli. At the Indigo room, Alien Emotions @ FMDE (Techno) featured non-stop music from 8:00 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. with DJ Maestro, DJ Juice, Graf-X, Martire and Chris Khaos (United Kingdom). Push @ FMDE with Deep/Tech house had performers Pete Broward and Genesis Rising from 9:00 p.m. to 1:45 a.m.
