Meghan Trainor’s new album “Thank You” dropped on May 13. One song “NO” has made Billboard’s Top 100 songs already, and the album itself is “heading for top 3 debut,” according to Billboard.com.
The other hit song, which gained attention when Trainor fell during her performance on Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show,” is “Me Too.” Following the theme of self-love and body positivity Trainor has made for her lyrics, she pulled the music video from Vevo and thus YouTube after it had already been uploaded.
“They Photoshopped the crap outta me,” Trainor said in an 11-second video she took and uploaded to YouTube. “My waist is not that teeny. I had a bomb waist that night. I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist. But, I didn’t approve that video, and it went out for the world. So, I’m embarrassed.”
Trainor appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” on May 9 and was able to explain what happened.
“I was so upset because I thought the fans were doing it online with this screenshot, and then, I was like, ‘Oh my god, it’s my own video,’” Trainor said. “So, I called the gods of Vevo, and they took it down.”
Despite her embarrassment and shock regarding the situation, Trainor does take full responsibility for the original video being released.
“We didn’t have a lot of time for this video, and we had to wrap it around pretty quick. They had like a day to get beauty and color done,” she explained to etonline.com. “I take full blame for not seeing it.”
After being rereleased on May 10, the unedited version of the “Me Too” music video is sitting at 20 million views.
“Thank You” is the second full album by Meghan Trainor, also known as “M-Train,” and it features 12 songs: “Watch Me Do,” “Me Too,” “NO,” “Better (ft. Yo Gotti),” “Hopeless Romantic,” “I Love Me (with LunchMoney Lewis),” “Kindly Calm Me Down,” “Woman Up,” “Just a Friend to You,” “I Won’t Let You Down,” “Dance Like Yo Daddy” and “Champagne Problems.”
Three extra songs are available on the deluxe edition which include “Mom (ft. Kelly Trainor),” “Friends” and “Thank You (ft. R. City).”
