For those planning to welcome 2016 on Fort Myers Beach, LeeTran will be offering free extended trolley service to Fort Myers Beach on Thursday, Dec. 31 in cooperation with the Times Square Merchants and Event Association.
LeeTran’s regular fare service will run until 9 p.m. Thursday. After 9 p.m., LeeTran will offer free service until 2 a.m. Friday, Jan. 1 on two routes: Summerlin Square (Park and Ride) from 11390 Summerlin Square Drive to Bowditch Park and back, as well as the Bowditch Park to Lovers Key and back route.
To keep waiting times low, LeeTran will operate several trolleys on each route.
