Presidential Search Advisory Search Committee announced

Board of Trustees chair Dudley Goodlette announced the appointment of the Presidential Search Advisory Search Committee on Wednesday, March 23.
“The search for FGCU’s next president will be an inclusive process involving diverse representatives of FGCU’s faculty, staff, students, alumni, Financing Corporation Board of Directors, Board of Trustees and Foundation Board of Directors as well as community members,” Goodlette said in a press release. “These individuals are all well qualified to provide strategic perspective in the selection process and to help identify the best candidate to lead FGCU, as it continues to grow and develop in the years to come.”
The committee includes 15 members. Committee chair Ken Smith, committee vice chair Robbie Roepstorff and Board of Governors representative Edward Morton will be serving as the heads of the committee.
Smith currently serves as the president and CEO of Tarpon Blue Resource and Land Management Inc. and on the BOT. Roepstorff, who is the current president of Edison National Bank, previously served as the BOT chair before Goodlette. Morton is the current principal of Wasmer Schroeder & Company, the former CEO of the NCH Healthcare System and is a member of the BOG of the State University System of Florida
The othe.r 12 members include chairperson emeritus of the FGCU Foundation Board of Directors Richard Ackert, eminent scholar of finance for the Lutgert College of Business Tim Allen, chair of FGCU Foundation Board of Directors David Call, FGCU Alumni Association Board of Directors chair Harry Casimir, vice president of Staff Advisory Council Nicole Catalfamo, student body president Thieldens Elneus, College of Arts and Sciences dean Robert Gregerson, former Florida House of Representatives Lindsay Harrington, College of Health Professions and Social Work chair Madelyn Isaacs, biology professor Sharon Isern, attorney Pamela Noland and chairman emeritus of FGCU Foundation Board of Directors Charles Winton.
“I look forward to working with advisory committee members, as we begin the important task of recommending an appropriate leader to guide FGCU beyond 2017,” Smith said in a press release. “We are confident we will find a candidate who has the vision to chart the university’s future while remaining true to its history, principles and constituents.”
The committee’s first meeting will be held at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 5. in Cohen Center 213. A website for the committee is currently under construction.
