SG Elections break voting record but don’t reach 2,000-voter mark

Student Government announced via Twitter that a total of 1,780 votes were cast for the next executive branch of SG as of 5 p.m. Thursday, March 3.
Supervisor of elections Ian Knight told Eagle News that SG set a goal of 2,000 votes. While that goal was not met, that number surpassed the 863 votes cast last year and the 1,660 cast in the 2013-2014 elections.
Voting took place from 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 1 to 5 p.m. to Thursday, March 3 online through EagleLink and on campus in Cohen Center room 247.
Results will be announced at 7 p.m. in the Cohen Center fishbowl.
