The two-time defending Atlantic Sun Conference Most Valuable Mascot of the Year, FGCU’s Azul The Eagle, begins his title defense today as the 2015 A-Sun Mascot Cup gets underway.
Over a two-week span, the league’s seven other mascots will compete via different social media platforms for the most votes to de-crown Azul. Fans will have the ability to vote for Azul on four different social media platforms, beginning today with Facebook.
Following the opening week, the field will be narrowed to the top-four vote getters from all platforms combined. The top-two vote getters from the semifinal round will then meet in the final before the 2015 champion will be crowned on Thursday, July 23.
