FGCU has continued to host the FGCU Farmers Market throughout the spring 2016 semester.
Locally grown produce as well as other various local merchandise is available at the market for students to purchase. FGCU alumnus Arlo Simonds now participates in the farmers market where he sells some of his own organic produce.
“I graduated from FGCU, and during my time here, I was heavily involved in the FGCU Food Forest,” Simonds said. “It means a lot to me to have been able to go outside of the university after graduation, start farming and then be able to come back on campus and distribute my produce to students.”
The FGCU Farmers Market will take place on the Library Lawn from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every other Tuesday. For more information about the farmers market, visit www.facebook.com/
