New Homeless Law Has Gone Into Effect in Florida
Florida House Bill 1365 went into effect on the first of this October month, the bill prohibits “unauthorized public sleeping and camping.”
The bill, which was passed back in March, has proven controversial amongst Floridians. Some claim it will help get the homeless back on their feet whereas others claim it will only force them into a more intense cycle of homelessness.
Others, as stated by WFSU News, wish there was more flexibility in the bill for different counties and cities to enforce as seen fit.
Homeless can appeal to their county or city to have permission to sleep outdoors. The law does not apply during states of emergency.

Earlier this week, Iran Launched at least 180 missiles into Israel. This comes after Israel detonated bombs in Hezbollah radios and pagers.
“Iran made a big mistake – and it will pay for it,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a press conference after the attack.
Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system, designed to protect the country from such attacks was able to stop many, but not all incoming missiles.
The only fatality from the missile was a Palestinian man, Sameh al-Asali, 37, according to the BBC.
Shortly before the missile barrage, two Palestinians opened fire in Tel Aviv, killing seven Israelis.
