It is no secret that college students are busy. Consequently, students often search for outlets they can use to forget the stress of day-to-day life and just have fun. Roblox is a perfect way to do this. There are over 40 million games created by other individuals so there is always something new to do. Roblox itself is free too. Without further ado, here are some of my favorite games to play on Roblox:
1. Dress to Impress
Dress to Impress (DTI) is a fashion game in which players create outfits inspired by different themes. Each round, players are given just over five minutes to put together an outfit their character can wear on the runway. After, players take to the runway and score the creations of their competitors out of five stars. The player with the most stars wins. The game also offers VIP, which extends to more clothing, makeup, hair, and posing options. DTI is a great creative outlet for individuals to experiment and create fun looks while having fun.
2. Natural Disaster Survival
In this game, players must survive through a natural disaster. In each round, players are spawned into a random map and given 45 seconds to prepare for an unknown type of natural disaster. These disasters can be anything from meteor showers, tsunamis, acid rain and volcanic eruptions. The goal is to live through as many natural disasters as possible, the player’s name with the most rounds under their belt is displayed in the lobby which inspires competition.
3. Jailbreak
Jailbreak has a very heavy cops and robbers theme. Players begin by choosing whether they would like to be a criminal or a police officer. The cops’ goal is to stop the criminals, while the criminals’ goal is to orchestrate robberies and make serious money. Criminal success is determined by the amount of money collected, while the amount of criminals stopped determines police success. Jailbreak is especially fun to play with friends, as you can either compete to stop each other or work together to make more money.
4. Piggy
Piggy is a horror game that requires players to advance through levels and escape from the game’s namesake, Piggy. Before each round, participants vote on which map, or chapter, they would like to play and if they want Piggy to be a player or a bot. When a player is caught by Piggy, they die and the game ends for them. Each chapter contains different puzzles to get through, making the game exciting. The horror movie vibes from the game make it perfect to play with friends.
5. Tower of Hell
Tower of Hell is an obstacle course where players have eight minutes to reach the top of a randomly generated tower. If they do not finish in the eight minutes given, the clock resets and they restart at the bottom of a new tower. Similarly, if they die during the ascent, they are respawned at the bottom of the same tower until a new one is generated. Though the repeated failure is incredibly frustrating, the feeling of accomplishment when completing the tower makes it all worth it.
From fashion shows to obstacle courses to prison escapes here are five games you can de-stress with this semester on Roblox.
