Fans of the show “Impractical Jokers” often find themselves debating who reigns supreme as the ultimate impractical joker. Though each member brings a unique flair to the table, the joker who truly stands out is none other than Joe Gatto.
Gatto has consistently proved himself to be the best joker. His uncanny ability to stay composed in hilarious or embarrassing situations is memorable. Gatto easily cracks jokes that leave the audience and three other jokers (mainly Sal) gasping for air. Yet, whether he is engaging in outrageous stunts or interacting with people on the sidewalk, Gatto is able to remain unfazed as he continues to deliver side-splitting humor.
There were very few lines that Gatto refused to cross during his time on Impractical Jokers. In fact, Gatto committed to almost everything he was tasked with. As a result, he was punished the least amount of times throughout the series. Yet this did not stop the jokers from making Gatto’s punishments some of the best and most memorable in the show’s history.
By taking all of his challenges and punishments in stride, Gatto has shown himself to be really consistent and bold. This is something that viewers look for to keep things exciting and fresh. When someone like Gatto is willing to go all out and take on any challenge, it adds a level of suspense and fun. Fans know they can always count on Gatto to bring his A-game.
Likewise, Gatto has a deep appreciation and love for his fans. He often takes the time to engage on social media, attend fan events, and express his gratitude for their support. These types of connections demonstrate his genuine love for the community, and recognizing the individuals who got him to where he is today.
Gatto comes off as a genuinely kind person, he is very fond of dogs and strongly believes in the saying “adopt don’t shop.”. Gatto has even published a book named “The Dogfather” in support of this sentiment.
As you’d expect, Gatto has rescued dogs from various places including Animal Care Centers in New York City, Animal Haven and North Shore Animal League. Similarly, his wife, Bessy Gatto, often volunteers at the organizations Joe supports. Both are lifelong animal lovers and opened a non-profit rescue dedicated to senior dogs called “Gatto Pups and Friends”. This rescue also provides homes to disabled and unwanted animals.
While Gattos’s compassion for animals is admirable, he has a knack for turning even the most dull tasks into comedic gold, leaving his fellow fans and cast members in awe of his creativity. This infectious energy and genuine enjoyment of what he does adds an extra layer of fun to the show.
Gatto’s passion for what he does is evident through every episode he appears in. Whenever the camera is on him there is always a smile on his face. He really just wants to make people laugh and smile.
So, not only is Joe Gatto a great family guy who loves animals and his fans, but during his time on the show, he was truly the heart and soul of Impractical Jokers.
