There has been an ongoing question among students since classes started back up at FGCU: what happened with I’m Shmacked? The Eagles have found out what the future holds regarding this popular organization that visits colleges across the country.
The I’m Shmacked event will be held on Friday, Oct. 16 at Harborside Event Center, 1375 Monroe Street in Fort Myers.
Many students bought the I’m Shmacked tank tops in May, almost immediately after they went on sale. Some students thought the tank tops were the tickets; however, that is not the case.
Now, three months later, the official tickets have gone on sale. Three types of admission are being sold — general admission at $30, general admission VIP at $75 and general admission all access at $150. Tickets are available on I’m Shmacked’s website.
The I’m Shmacked events are characterized by filming the parties and then publishing post-event videos. Any student who buys a ticket is “authorizing to be filmed at the event by the I’m Shmacked production team.”
Students who buy the general admission VIP tickets won’t have to wait in line and will be given a VIP credential to gain entrance for the VIP area. Students who buy the general admission all access tickets won’t have to wait in line, will be given the VIP credential and will “have access to party at the I’m Shmacked table.” Additionally, the general admission all access consumers will be given a shout out in the rampant recap video of the event.
The event is from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., and students must be at least 18 years old to attend.
Artists who will host the party remain to be announced.
