On Sunday, Tabby Tindell became FGCU women’s soccer all-time points leader.
During a midday, first-time program match against the University of Dayton, Tindell scored during the 34th minute, securing her place at the top. She finished the game with one goal and one assist, leading the Eagles to a 2-0 victory over the Flyers.
The win gives the Eagles a record of 1-0-1 moving into their game against Mississippi this Friday. Tindell sits with 85 career points out of her 43 collegiate games, entering her junior year. Previously, Shannen Wacker had held the record with 83 points during her time at FGCU.
During her sophomore year, Tindell earned titles and distinctions such as the 2014 Atlantic Sun Player of the Year and A-Sun Player of the Week three times. She was named to the 2014 A-Sun All-Conference First Team, 2014 A-Sun Academic All-Conference Team and the 2014 College SoccerNewsWomen’s Second Team All-America. She was the first Player of the Year for FGCU since KC Correllus in 2010.
