It’s widely known that women love clothes and presents. Combine the two and you’re at wantable.com. Wantable is an online service that provides women with unique products that are tailored to their individual needs and preferences. Wantable carries five categories of products: makeup, accessories, intimates, fitness and style apparel. Wantable’s personal stylists select products and trends that are delivered directly to customers’ homes.
Megan Saxty, a sophomore elementary education major, is excited about Wantable because she enjoys the convenience of online shopping.
“I can definitely see myself using this,” Saxty said. “I love online shopping, so this is even better.”
Wantable works by utilizing a short quiz that stylists then use to handpick products to match the customer’s preferences.
“I think sometimes these sites don’t always really know what kind of style you like, even with the quizzes, but this one really nailed it with me,” Saxty said.
Once the customer receives the package of merchandise, she has the choice to keep what she likes and return what she is unsatisfied with. All returns are free, so customers don’t have to worry about paying shipping fees to return an item. Customers receive the latest trends every month and have the option to cancel an order or skip one month’s delivery at any time.
Lindsey Townsley, a public relations and communications associate for Wantable, encourages women who love fashion to explore wantable.com.
“We love beauty, style and fashion,” Townsley said. “Most importantly, we love making people happy. When we started Wantable, we set out to create a unique retail experience unlike any other.”
Wantable provides free shipping for all orders within the U.S. Wantable also ships products to Australia, Canada and the U.K. and plans to increase its international shipping list to include more countries in the future.
Townsley is proud of the growth that Wantable has made in the last three years, and she attributes the business’ success to its loyal customers.
“When we started in the fall of 2012, we had three employees, and today, we’ve grown to 24,” Townsley said. “Our success comes one happy customer at a time.”
Wantable’s collection service consists of makeup, accessories and intimates. The first purchase is $40, which drops to $36 for subsequent orders. If a shopper likes everything, she can keep the three to five items at no additional cost, but if she doesn’t like something, returns are hassle-free.
Wantable’s edit service consists of style and fitness products. There is a non-refundable $20 styling fee for the edit service, which includes five apparel items that are handpicked for the customer to try on at home. Once the customer has decided what she likes, she can return whatever she doesn’t want and is only billed for what she chooses to keep.
Olivia Jeter, a freshman biology major, believes that Wantable provides its customers with freedom, unique options and fashion to match their personal style.
“The website is really cute and straightforward, which is what I always look for in any site that I use,” Jeter said. “The whole process was smooth, but I think the questions on the style quiz could be more specific. I could definitely start using this as a way to pick out my clothes for class, and it totally takes away the hassle of not really knowing what you want because this site already knows what you like.”
