Women’s soccer adds Florida State transfer to roster

The FGCU women’s soccer team will gain another strong player to the 2017 roster as head coach Jim Blankenship announced that the team will be adding former Mariner High School standout, and Florida State transfer, Holly Fritz. Following a 2-1 series win over Jacksonville, the FGCU Softball team dropped it first three-game series in ASUN play with two losses and a win against UNF. After splitting the first two games on day one, the FGCU softball team came out strong on day two with a 4-2 victory over Jacksonville. With those wins, the Eagles went 2-1 over the Dolphins in the three-game series, making their overall record 20-14. The FGCU softball team is set to host the Battle at the Beach three-day tournament at the FGCU Softball Complex. This tournament will include IUPUI, Iowa State, Canisius, Drexel and Cleveland State.
