FGCU’s FSBDC to host annual Access to Capital Fair

The Florida Small Business Department Center is hosting the third annual Access to Capital Fair. This event provides a more personal atmosphere for business owners with both traditional and non-traditional lenders. It will give all in attendance the chance to showcase their abilities in a tradeshow format.
The event starts with a panel discussion that covers SBA loans, crowd-funding and non-traditional financing. Afterward, there will be time to network with participating lenders.
“If a student is looking to start their own business or buy an existing business, this would be a great event for them to attend in regards to finding sources of capital to finance their business venture,” said Suzanne Specht, the assistant director of FSBDC.
At FGCU, the FSBDC offers confidential, no-cost consulting and affordable workshops for businesses across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties. It was declared by the state as Florida’s top provider of business assistance.
If interested in attending the free event, one can head to the Holiday Inn at Fort Myers Airport, located at 9931 Interstate Commerce Drive. The fair will be held on July 21 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Registration is requested at www.fsbdcswfl.org in order to accommodate limited space. A light breakfast will be provided.
