Preview: FGCU swimming and diving at FGCU quad-meet

The FGCU women’s swimming and diving team hosts the FGCU quad-meet from Friday, Nov. 4 through Saturday, Nov. 5 at the FGCU Aquatics Center. Last match, the Eagles were able to beat four out of the five top-tier teams, but suffered a loss against UCLA. In diving, Ashley Wright qualified for the 2017 NCAA Zone Diving Qualifications. The FGCU women’s golf team will travel to Lakewood Ranch to compete in the 39th Annual Pat Bradley Invitational hosted by FIU. The match is set to be played in a three-day series. The first match will take place Sunday, Oct. 23 and finish Tuesday, Oct. 25. All three days are marked as all-day events. Last season, the Eagles placed 6th at the invitational, finishing in the top half out of 14 teams. They improved each day from 12th to 8th and finally 6th with a scorecard of 901. With a slow start to the season, the FGCU men’s golf team plans to bounce back as they host the Homewood/Hilton Garden Airport and FGCU Classic.
