Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders swept Western Saturday, earning runaway victories in Alaska, Hawaii and Washington.
“Don’t let anybody tell you that we can’t win the nomination and the general election, because we’re going to do both of those things,” Sanders said in a televised victory speech in Wisconsin. “We have a path toward victory.”
Sanders beat democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in Washington with 73 percent, in Alaska with 82 percent, and in Hawaii with 70 percent.
With the three wins, Sanders moves to 1,003 delegates to Clinton’s 1,678 delegates.
