Summer season is approaching fast and Southwest Florida has a few fun places and activities you can do this summer. If you decide to stay, I recommend these places if you’re looking to have some fun this summer and take the perfect summer pictures. While Disney World and Bush Gardens are always recommended, take some time to explore other local places in our area.

1. Top Golf | Fort Myers, FL

I don’t like golf, but I’ve always enjoyed the times I’ve visited! They have fun games, even if you’re a newbie. They have quick bites you can munch on while playing, relaxing and watching your friends. They have events like half off Tuesday, where prices are half off. I recommend booking your party in advance to avoid long lines!

2. Escape Room Adventure | Fort Myers, FL

Escape rooms always bring out the best in people. If you want to see what you and your friends would be like if you were detectives, check out Escape Room Adventure here in Fort Myers. There’s nothing like problem-solving to get you and your friends closer.

Pirates, magicians and aliens are just some rooms you can choose from the five unique escape games. Each room has different levels of difficulty and they even offer escape rooms online via Zoom if you can’t make it in person. In addition, they will be adding a diamond heist opening in May 2023!

3. Seashell Factory | North Fort Myers, FL

I’ve gone here a few times and always have a good time! They have water bumper boats, zip lines and a nature park with several animals like sloths.

4. Ice Skating | Fort Myers, FL

I always go ice skating, and yes, I could be better at it, but I always enjoy going with my friends and holding on. It’s a great bonding experience to know who will catch you when you fall. Plus, it would feel so refreshing after being in the hot Florida sun.

5. Revolution Cable Park | Fort Myers, FL

You can also go to this place if you’re trying to cool off this summer. They have watersports and much more where you can take a break from the Florida heat.

6. Celebration Park Naples | Naples | FL

Celebration Park is waterfront with food trucks! Grab a friend and head down to enjoy a sweet spot for food and live entertainment.

7. Naples Princess | Naples, FL

Naples Princess is a sightseeing boat tour along Naples Bay, Port Royal and into the Gulf of Mexico for guests of all ages. I always have a good time when I take the best sunset pictures. They offer different packages that include food and drinks, or you can simply go and enjoy the scenery. One of my favorite things about the Naples Princess is that it’s next to Tin City, a shopping center that sells antiques and houses local businesses, and it’s the perfect ice cream spot.

8. Volcano Mountain Adventure | Naples, FL

This mini golf course is right next to a plaza with several restaurants, so if you get hungry after a long afternoon of playing, you can go right over to the plaza to grab a bite or vice versa!

9. Naples Botanical Garden | Naples, FL

The Naples Botanical Garden always has events, so guests can enjoy taking a stroll viewing all their beautiful plants and enjoying their time! In addition, they have light shows and live music overlooking the water garden.

10. Headpinz | Naples, FL
From bowling to a game room to laser tag, Headpinz has a little bit of everything! It’s a fun place to hang out with friends and family.

Whatever you choose to do this summer, enjoy yourself and take advantage of the many things our area has to offer. There is so much more to do, just take a look and have a relaxing break!
