Dr. Ben Carson, who is No. 1 in the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll for the Republican presidential nomination, will be promoting his latest book in Fort Myers Nov. 4.
The book, “A More Perfect Union: What We The People Can Do To Reclaim Our Constitutional Liberties,” includes Carson’s interpretation of the Constitution, as it relates to modern topics, such as same-sex marriage and abortion.
It is Carson’s ninth book. In an excerpt from the book, Carson insists that understanding the U.S. Constitution “isn’t brain surgery.”
“The founders wrote it for ordinary men and women, in clear, precise, simple language,” Carson writes.
“They intentionally made it short enough to read in a single sitting and to carry in your pocket.”
His 3:30 p.m. stop at the Fort Myers Books-A-Million in the Forum will be one of his 13 book signings in Florida. It will be followed by a 6:30 p.m. signing at the Naples Costco. Carson has book events lined up in ten states.
According to the “Tallahassee Democrat,” an estimated 2,000 people attended Carson’s Nov. 4 signing in Tallahassee.
“A More Perfect Union” is ranked third on the New York Times’ weekly list of bestselling hardcover non-fiction books.
