FGCU’s Nursing Student Association will host a Zoomers fundraising night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26.
Kelli Hess, the vice president of the association, said that this will be the NSA’s second time hosting this kind of event with Zoomers.
Zoomers, a family amusement park in South Fort Myers, is located at 17455 Summerlin Road. Some of the attractions that the park offers are an arcade, a go-kart track and a mini golf course. Attendees will be able to pay $10 for unlimited mini golf rounds, go-kart rides and roller coaster rides during the NSA’s event.
“The Nursing Student Association does so much; it’s hard to explain at times,” Jessica Caraballo said, a member of the NSA. “We are a group of nursing and pre-nursing students that are eager to do events to promote health and wellness in the community.”
The association decided to partner with Zoomers to raise money to send as many nursing students to the NSA’s annual state convention, which will be held in Daytona later this year. The convention is a way for all NSA programs in Florida to meet up and inform each other about the organizations they have been supporting.
“We want to encourage new members of the NSA to stay motivated and keep pushing through the rigors even before they begin the program,” Caraballo said.
