For the first time on FGCU’s campus, Slutwalk was brought to life to promote advocacy and awareness. April is Sexual Assault Awareness month and many fraternities, sororities and other student organizations came together to eliminate discrimination against people, regardless of gender or identity.

The event took place on April 7 at the Veterans Pavilion. Nine speakers and performers shared their personal experiences and encounters with issues surrounding slut shaming and sexual violence. The event curated a crowd of all ages.
