Executive search firm chosen to help find Bradshaw’s replacement


During the Executive Search Firm Sub-Committee’s Tuesday, May 17 meeting, an executive search firm was chosen to assist the Presidential Search Advisory Committee in finding a replacement for FGCU president Wilson Bradshaw.
The subcommittee’s chair Robbie Roepstorff and members Dick Ackert, Harry Casimir, Nicole Catalfamo and Sharon Isern met with three firms that were interested in assisting the committee. Jan Greenwood of Greenwood-Asher and Associates, Laurie Wilder of Parker Executive Search and Lucy Leske of Witt/Kieffer presented in front of and were interviewed by the subcommittee.
Witt/Kieffer was chosen to advance to the Presidential Search Committee four to one. After expressing concerns relating to the firm’s experience with other Florida searches and Sunshine Law, the full committee voted 11 to three to advance Witt/Kieffer to the Board of Trustees. The Presidential Search Committee is slated to discuss its recommendation for an executive search firm during the June 7 BOT meeting.
Witt/Kieffer has been operating for 45 years and serves not only colleges and universities but hospitals, not-for-profit foundations, pharmaceutical companies and medical device corporations according to its website. The corporate headquarters is located in Oak Brook, Illinois.
Ken Smith, the chair of the Presidential Search Committee, sent this information in an email to students titled Chair Update #4. In the letter, he encouraged students to visit the committee’s website,, and to follow new information on the search using the hashtag #FGCUpresidentialsearch on social media.
