Students Promoting Industrial Organizational Psychology, a registered student organization that focuses in aiding students interested in futures in industrial organizational psychology, will be hosting a speaker event from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 in Edwards Hall, room 112.

“Our speakers are Dr. Stacy Ballinger, who is in charge of internships and co-ops for FGCU, and Dr. Terence Leary, who is a psychology professor and our club sponsor,” said SPIOP Vice President Kelsey Hawker via email. “They are speaking about internship/co-op opportunities and career fields in psychology.”

The event is open to anybody interested in psychology to attend.

Industrial organizational psychology is a field that focuses on applying psychological theories to studies of workplace behaviors, including factors such as motivation and stress.
