Students from the Critical Race Theory in Communication class are presenting the 5th Dialogue on Race at FGCU Monday, Nov. 14.
The event will feature theatrical performance of the students’ racial identity search process and cover social issues of race, racism and privilege.
This event is one of many responses to the racial hate crime incident that occurred on a white board in Seidler Hall last month. The hate crime sparked protests from students and resulted in a list of demands for equity at the school, which president Wilson Bradshaw addressed in a school-wide email.
The event will be held in Edwards Hall 112. Doors open for the event at 5:00 p.m., and presentations run from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
