New details for “Rise of the Tomb Raider”

According to IGN, Square Enix’s sequel to the reboot of “Tomb Raider” will be coming with some dynamic new features. Rumor is, Lara is in Siberia, where the snow is heavy and the winds are fierce. The game’s environment will have snow and deep foliage with completely different weather patterns as well as unique animal cycles. Added bonus — deep details will feature footprints of both human and creatures in snow. Official Xbox Magazine has also released new screenshots from the game in its latest issue. “Rise of the Tomb Raider” will be released later this year on Xbox One and 360. It will later be released for all major consoles and PC.

New Nintendo 3DS drops on Feb. 13

Along with the launch of “Monster Hunter 4” and the HD remake of “Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask,” Nintendo has finally released its newest in the states. This new device comes with enhanced 3D tracking, internal hardware, Amiibo integration and the exclusive “C-Stick.” The U.S. will only receive the XL models of the new handheld, and there isn’t any news of getting the regular-sized model any time soon. Though, there are efforts to allow the same sort of customization as the Japanese models with removable hard cases and more.

Humble Bundle is spreading the love until Feb. 18

In spirit of Valentine’s Day, Humble Bundle, a charity service that distributes indie games at Steam Sale prices, is throwing out a plethora of dating sims and more this week in support of Worldreader and World Land Trust. Get cheap PC games for Steam, Mac and Linux while supporting world charities and indie developers.

For the “Pay what you want” option, “Long Live the Queen,” “Analogue: A Hate Story,” and “Go! Go! Nippon! My First Trip to Japan” will be available. Pay more than the average (around $6) and get “WORLD END ECONOMiCA” episode.01, “Hate Plus” and “Roommates – Deluxe Edition.” Finally, for $8, “Hatoful Boyfriend,” one of Steam’s famous dating sims for pigeons, will be unlocked. Pay more than $35 and get and exclusive “Hatoful Boyfriend” body pillow. This bundle will only be available until Feb. 18 at humblebundle.com/weekly.

Hajime Tataba to stream “Final Fantasy XV” on Feb. 20

Game director Hajime Tataba will be live-streaming the newest, highly anticipated next generation addition to the “Final Fantasy” franchise, “Final Fantasy XV.” This title will conclude the Fabula Nova Chrysalis saga featuring a brand new story centered on the angsty protagonist Noctis. “FFXV” will not be released in 2015, but it is rumored that a demo will be released with the HD remake of “Final Fantasy Type-0” for new generation consoles. The stream will supposedly cover gameplay and controls of “Episode Duscae”; catch a peekn on Feb. 20 on YouTube at SquareEnix’s Japanese channel.
