Sew Pretty fighting multiple sclerosis

Sew Pretty Corp. will be welcoming the multiple sclerosis community, friends and supporters to join them from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday Oct. 23. for light refreshments and discounts up to 50 percent off merchandise. This open house is being held in hopes of building awareness of MS throughout Southwest Florida.
Sew Pretty Corp. is a team of volunteers that fight MS and support each other through their efforts. They are a 501(c)3 whose mission is empowering people with multiple sclerosis and veterans with disabilities through life skills and
vocational training and work. Multiple sclerosis is a chronic disease involving damage to the sheaths of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, whose symptoms may include numbness, impairment of speech and of muscular coordination, blurred vision and severe fatigue.
Sew Pretty’s new offices are located in the old Children’s Advocacy Center office complex on Winkler Ave.
