The FGCU men’s basketball team is going to be on a two-week hold due to a positive COVID result within the team’s Tier 1 group. FGCU Athletics put out an update, stating that they would be on pause until the team’s next game.
Their next scheduled matchup would be on Feb. 26-27 against Jacksonville on the road. This will be the final series of the regular season for the Eagles before they open up ASUN Conference play.
The statement from FGCU Athletics reads:
“Due to a positive COVID result and contact tracing within the program’s Tier 1 group, the FGCU men’s basketball team will enter a two-week pause. Based on the timing, the Eagles will next play on the road at Jacksonville (Friday-Saturday, Feb. 26-27) which will be the final weekend of the regular-season.”
