FGCU students are invited to listen to noted travel guru Rick Steves in a free event on Tuesday, March 1 hosted by WGCU.
The bestselling author of over 50 guidebooks is known for his authority on European travel.
Steves began his adventures with his father in 1969, then later decided to fund his trips by teaching piano lessons. He also owns Rick Steve’s Europe, a company of over 100 staffed travelers whom he works with on writing guidebooks and creating information databases for travelers.
Steves has shared his tips across platforms such as National Public Radio shows, a weekly syndicated column and on his travel center website. Steves will be speaking to the students of FGCU and sharing his knowledge personally for traveling and the tips he has picked up along the way.
The event is free to FGCU students, staff and faculty, upon presentation of a valid ID. It will run from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in Cohen Center, room 214. Those interested can sign up here.
