Don’t miss out on the inaugural magical and fairytale event PB World from 8 to 11 p.m. Thursday, April 16. This free event will be on Florida Gulf Coast University’s Library Lawn.
During this event — held by FGCU’s programming board and PB’s Director of Late Night Shelby Borisman — students will have the opportunity to have their dreams become a reality.
There will be various events, chances to win free prizes, food and a night filled with enchanted wonder. Some magical events include building your own dream catcher and climbing Rapunzel’s rock wall.
Not only will there be food from EPCOT themed stations with falafel balls, macaroons and the Poutine Queen food truck, but students can also win free prizes such as free tanktops for the first 100 guests who attend and a chance to win a free ticket to Disney World. While students enjoy their sampling of food from all over the world, they can also relax and enjoy the different performers and organizations that have been working hard to compete for cash. Such performers include: Taylor Broad Student, Kappa Delta, Dance Company, Dancing Egals, Beverly Student, Project Eagle, Zeta Phi Beta and many more. Each of the performers and organizations’ incorporated dances and songs are related to the PB World’s Disney theme.
“I am looking forward to the performances because the students competing worked very hard on their acts,” Borisman said. “I love Disney and wanted to incorporate its aspects into an event that everyone could enjoy. I wanted to attract those who are Disney obsessed, as well as those that aren’t crazy about Disney with the various food and novelties. I came up with the idea for PB World around November and have been planning it event since. It’s not like anything FGCU has seen before and I wanted to add a little magic to our campus.”
Don’t miss out on this dreamlike night of fun, laughter and memories to capture. Remember what Walt Disney once said: “If you can dream it, than you can do it.” So do it and come out to PB World.
